About
My journey so far
My name is Claudia Rivas. I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico (Peru). I am completing my first year of my Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Before coming to the Kennedy School, I was supporting the design of development loans on teacher professional development and school management at the World Bank. Prior to that, I worked in the Ministry of Education of Peru, where I engaged with local management offices to improve school service delivery.
During my mid-20s, I solo-travelled across different countries in Latin America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Colombia. Now, thanks to the Women and Public Policy Program’s Cultural Bridge Fellowship at HKS, I will be spending the summer Delhi (India), where I will continue nurturing my wanderlust spirit at the same time that I will work with IMAGO, a non-profit focus on scaling up solutions from within.
